Objectives

Young People’s Theatre Newcastle Inc  (Y14406-42) is an incorporated body with Rules of Incorporation guiding the management of the organisation.

These objectives form part of our Rules of Incorporation:

  1. provide training in speech, drama and kindred arts and crafts associated with practical theatre training.
  2. provide suitable premises and facilities for the training program.
  3. promote, by means of public presentation, productions of a high standard, of musical and/or dramatic works as a practical outlet and means of fulfilling the studies listed above.
  4. promote, by whatever means may seem advisable or expedient, the best standards of children’s theatre, whether this be theatre by children, or theatre for children, or both.
  5. provide classes in theatre for young people at the following levels: primary, junior, secondary, senior secondary and post school.
  6. provide scholarship facilities for students to undertake advanced or specialised training in all branches of activity associated with theatre.
  7. make the facilities of this organisation open to any person equally, irrespective of gender, race, religions or political beliefs.
  8. support an adult theatre group, operating under the umbrella of Young People’s Theatre Newcastle Inc, which will provide ongoing opportunities in performance and production.
