Afraid of the dark and plagued by a power failure, Henry Quealy is living in the shadow of terror. Returning one day from his job as a door-to-door salesman – selling doors, Henry discovers a hidden portal in the wall of his home, hidden until now at least! The government declares Henry a shadow of his former self — literally — and he is taken away through the mystery door. Hinterland is a satirical comedy of a divided self and the power of the state.
