The YPT Sparkle and Shine annual concert began in 2015. The concert is directed by tutors in our Drama School, and is a celebration of what YPT stands for – theatre for young people by young people. YPT students who wish to take part, have the opportunity to perform in a selection of numbers from Musical Theatre pieces to dance, drama and more! The concert supports the YPT Remembers Reuben Scholarship.
Reuben Sutherland was a much loved member of the YPT community. He was tragically killed on 30 March 2015 as he crossed the road after getting off the school bus. He was 12 years old. As the YPT community is committed to remembering this enthusiastic and generous hearted young man, with the agreement of his family, the YPT Remembers Reuben Scholarship was established.
Donations to the YPT Remembers Reuben Scholarship can also be made through GiveNow. Donations will raise much needed funds so YPT can continue to provide theatrical opportunities to young people.
