On behalf of the Executive, I am pleased to announce that Chelsea Willis has accepted our new position of YPT Theatre Manager.  Chelsea has been a significant member of the YPT team for seven years, during which time she impressed us all with her professionalism, commitment, and enthusiasm.  Chelsea’s friendly open nature has endeared her to both students and parents.

Our Theatre Manager, Chelsea Willis

The Theatre Manager will lead a team including the Theatre School Coordinators, Artistic Director, Finance Manager, Technical Officer and Administrative Officers, and indirectly the tutors, appointed officers and volunteers. The Executive is working towards completing the appointments of the other positions named in the team.

“I am truly honored to be given the responsible of leading such a special organisation. I have loved my time with YPT and look forward to continuing to work with the team, parents and students in this new role.” – Chelsea Willis

This announcement is a follow up to the notification given earlier this year that a review of the YPT management structure would be undertaken during the year. The aim of the restructure is to create a sustainable business model that will allow YPT to continue to provide amazing opportunities for young people into the future.

While this new role will certainly keep Chelsea busy, we couldn’t possibly take her away from tutoring and in addition to her role of Theatre Manager, Chelsea will continue as a Senior Tutor for Musical Theatre and Dance classes.

Please join us in congratulating Chelsea on her appointment.
