Develop industry skills these school holidays at YPT with this full-day workshop centred around Shakespeare’s works!
During the workshop students will take an in-depth look at physical, vocal, and analytical approaches to Shakespeare and his works.
This workshop will run the way a professional actor must apply themselves in rehearsal, with a Monologue provided by YPT that the student must prepare prior to the Workshop.
This workshop is ideal for senior students and recent graduates looking to engage with Shakespeare and is aimed to give an artist agency and ownership of the language.
This workshop is also suited to students interested in auditioning for tertiary drama schools as students will learn skills and techniques through Shakespeare that inform the actor’s imagination, physical range and vocal capabilities that can be applied to any texts/genres within any acting medium.
This workshop will be led by Mitchell Bourke, YPT Alumni with a Bachelor of Arts [Acting] Degree from the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA).
This workshop is open to YPT students in Years 9+ (including post-school)
