PAYRIX Direct Debit Terms and Conditions
Young People’s Theatre Inc. (YPT) uses Payrix Australia Pty Ltd ABN: 63 135 196 397 (Direct Debit User ID number 382220), referred to as “Payrix”, to manage periodic debits.
Direct Debit Setup & Responsibility
- It is your responsibility to communicate with YPT regarding your preferred start date for direct debits.
- We recommend choosing a start date that follows soon after your standard payday to help avoid insufficient funds.
- You must ensure there are sufficient cleared funds in your nominated account by the due date to enable the direct debit to be processed.
- Direct debits normally occur overnight and can take up to three (3) business days, depending on your financial institution. Sufficient funds should remain in your account until the amount has been debited.
2. Fees & Charges
- YPT does not pass on Payrix credit card fees or the one-time setup fee to customers.
- However, if a payment fails, a failed payment fee will be charged.
- You are also responsible for any fees charged by your financial institution for unsuccessful debits, along with any collection costs, including but not limited to solicitor fees and/or collection agent fees incurred by YPT or Payrix.
- You authorize Payrix to re-process unsuccessful payments as advised by YPT.
3. Payrix’s Role
- Payrix acts solely as a Direct Debit Agent for YPT.
- Payrix does not provide any goods or services and holds no liability regarding YPT’s services or agreements.
4. Confidentiality & Data Protection
- Payrix and YPT will keep any information (including account details) required for the direct debit confidential and secure.
- Reasonable efforts will be made to ensure that employees or agents do not make unauthorized use, modification, reproduction, or disclosure of your information.
- Information will only be disclosed: (a) As required by law; or (b) For the purposes of this agreement, including processing queries or claims.
- YPT complies with the Australian Privacy Act and relevant data protection regulations.
5. Payment Variations & Notifications
- You authorize YPT to vary the payment amount as per your YPT agreement.
- Payrix may also adjust the debit amount upon YPT’s instructions, and you agree that Payrix is not required to notify you separately of such variations.
- YPT will provide 30 days’ notice for any changes to the terms of your direct debit arrangements.
6. Disputes & Cancellations
- Any disputes, variations, or requests to stop a payment must be directed to YPT in the first instance.
- YPT will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes within 14 days.
- If no resolution is provided, you may contact your financial institution for further assistance.
7. Accuracy of Account Information
- If you are unsure of your bank account or credit card details, you should contact your financial institution before setting up direct debit.
By proceeding with a direct debit arrangement, you acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions.
