Each year, YPT awarded one year seven student, the YPT Remembers Reuben Scholarship for their dedication and enthusiasm to the theatre. The YPT Remembers Reuben scholarship is in loving memory of our student, Reuben Sutherland who was tragically killed in a road accident.
This year’s winner was Mikaela Boyd. Mikaela has performed in 5 productions and is currently rehearsing for her 6th. Mikaela has entered many monologue competitions and been a part of several YPT events which demonstrates her dedication to the performing arts. Her tutors and directors describe her as a focused student who is prepared to try new things while supporting those around her.
Mikaela was presented with her scholarship at the Sparkle and Shine Concert by Theatre School Principal Claire and The Sutherland Family. Congratulations Mikaela! Congratulations also to finalists Zippie Tiffenright and Sienna Jenkins.
