What is the show about?
Lexie: “This musical tells the story of the oblivious mermaid Ariel, as she makes a high stakes deal with the banished sea-witch, Ursula, to have feet for three days, getting to keep them if she gets kissed by her one, true love. But at what cost? And was making the deal with Ursula a good choice?”
AJ: “Ariel’s world (the merfolk world) despise the humans but Ariel on the other hand secretly admires them. But when her father finds this out, he gets mad. Ariel that her father doesn’t understand her so she foes to the evil sea witch to trade her voice for human legs to be with the one she loves. By the time Prince Eric finally realizes Ariel is the one, the third day was over, and Ariel was now the evil sea witches to have. The King finds out and trades his powerful trident for Ariel, but Ariel puts up a fight and gets the trident, defeating Ursula and she is allowed to live on land.”
Willow: “Ariel is a mermaid with a dream to be a human and an overcontrolling father with a strong hate for humans. But after a fight with King Triton, Ariel goes to Ursula and trades her voice for human legs, but if she and Eric don’t kiss in three days, her soul is given to Ursula. When she’s too late, Triton trades his power for Ariels soul, and Ursula’s in charge. But Ariel stops her! In the end Ariel gets legs and marries Prince Eric.
What did you like most about the performance?
Lexie: “The energetic and lively cast, they are all such a delight to see on stage…the dedication the cast has to make this show great!”
Willow: “The songs! ‘She’s in Love’ and the dances that go with it”
AJ: “The costumes and the props! Amazing!”
Why should audiences come see the show?
Lexie: “This musical really captures the magic of the movie ‘The Little Mermaid’. It brings back the joy of seeing the film for the first time, something I’ll be forever grateful for… The Amazing and talented cast, they really make this show come to life!”
Willow: “Because, if you have watched it before, it really brings back those memories, and even if you haven’t, the story is expressed well with the set, lights, props, music/sound and character. I highly recommend it for kids at all ages and families.”
AJ: “It’s a fan favourite and watching it live in front of your face is amazing.”
