Describe what you do as a creative in one sentence?
Jade: I try to engage with all aspects of theatre and the fabulous community to learn and grow as a creative, while also encouraging and supporting others to do the same.
What is your favourite theatre memory?
Definitely closing celebrations of SpongeBob. The sense of community, energy and pride for what we had achieved as a cast and as a theatre will be something I never forget.
What inspires you to do theatre?
The liveliness and constant motion of it all, but also the community with all my friends and tutors and all the people I’m lucky enough to learn from.
What are you excited about teaching YPT students?
YPT has taught me so much and become my second home. I’m excited to create that same encouragement and a welcoming environment that can allow young creatives to grow into fabulous young artists.
What do you love about theatre/dance/drama?
I love the community and the joy and the freedom to create.
What is your favourite play or musical?
They’re constantly changing, but I always find myself back at Come From Away and Waitress
What is one piece of advice you could give to any YPT student?
Just have the most fun ever and let yourself be free!
Are you excited to be apart of YPT Tutoring Team?
Too excited to put into words!!!
Jade will be assisting our Senior Tutors with Primary Drama on Wednesdays, sharing her skills with the next generation of young performers. You can also catch Jade onstage in our Think Beyond production of PUFFS and also as Anna in Frozen JR. later this year.
