We are thrilled to be opening our production of A Wrinkle In Time TOMORROW! Over the weekend we were lucky enough to have some of our YPT Students join us! These students are Leo (11), Eden (10), Jensen (15), Jesse (12), Luke (9), Amity (11). Let’s hear what they had to say!
What happens in the show?
Leo: Meg, Charles and Calvin meet a mysterious lady and go through different dimensions in order to find Meg and Charle’s Father.
Eden: A sister and a brother go on a journey travelling through time together to find their father. To find they face “it”. The kids work together to overcome “it”.
Jensen: Meg Travels the universe through “wrinkling time” to find her father and foigh thte darkness known as “it”.
Jesse: The story shows Meg, Calvin, and Charles going on a journey to find their missing father from “it”.
Luke: 3 Children go on a quest to find their father and come across obstacles that try to trick them into going against him. Definetely 10/10.
Amity: The family has problems with the dad and suddenly goes missing and they meet a mysterious lady and then travel through different dimensions to find her missing father.
What did you like best about the performance?
Leo: I liked how mysterious it was and how high the suspense was.
Eden: The set and the costumes.
Jensen: The ensemble work makes the show even more incredible, everyone on the stage works so well together.
Jesse: I like the contrast between colourful characters and the black and white costume ensemble. I also like the building tension about Meg’s missing Dad.
Luke: It’s a hard question, for it is all very good, but I really enjoyed the first scene.
Amity: I really liked how there was mixed emotions and the costumes are really creative. There are also parts that are very unpredictable!
Why should audiences come to see the show?
Leo: Because I think it will give the audience an experience that they won’t forget!
Eden: I think you should see this show because it has a really good meaning to it and the costumes are so cool!
Jensen: To watch a well acted, compelling and thought provoking story starring some incredible talent.
Jesse: It is a great mystery show with building tensions and lots of funny moments.
Luke: They should come to see the show because the cast spent so long preparing for it to have such a good result.
Amity: Because it is a amazing show!
List a few things you liked about the following elements of the show and how it enhanced your experience: Lighting, Use of Sound/Music, Costume, Set & Props:
Leo: The lighting made it more scary and spookier!
Eden: The costumes for the ensemble are black and white the other characters costumes were very colourful and it made them stand out. I really like how they moved around the cubes to make different places.
Jensen: The lighting was amazing and incredibly dynamic, which made me even more invested in the story. The props such as the strong, and light boxes were so interesting and cool to see used on stage, it’s not often where a large part of a shows props/set are pieces of strong. So cool! And the projections on the back of the stage were so well designed and fit amazingly on stage. They evaluated the show to the next level.
Jesse: I liked how in sync the ensemble is. I liked the props and some of the visual effects.
Luke: The sound effects are amazing and the lighting is also really cool.
Amity:
The torches at the start added suspense, the background graphics fit the vibe alot! The light boxes show the intensity of the show!

Leo: VERY GOOD!!!
Jensen: These young actors are so talented, they are so convicning in the roles they play.
Luke: It’s a super suspensful story!
Amity: This show is very intriguing. I definetely recommend seeing this show, IT’S SO GOOD!
