YPT is seeking an experienced Drama Tutor and Co-Director to join the 2027 Think Beyond Performance Ensemble, working alongside Riley McLean. Previous directors of the program include Theo Rule and Samuel Jenkins. We are looking for a passionate theatre practitioner who is committed to developing young artists and creating challenging, high-quality ensemble theatre experiences.
About the role:
- Availability required from February to December 2027
- Tech, Dress and Performance Period from 26 November – 12 December
- Two weekly classes (Monday and Tuesday)
- Two-hour class blocks
- Work with approximately 40 highly skilled and dedicated performers aged 16-20
- Collaborate on the development and direction of a new theatrical work
- Support students in developing skills and pathways towards professional opportunities
The 2027 production will be heavily influenced by physical theatre, movement, and ensemble-driven storytelling. Applicants should have experience directing and/or devising ensemble work and be confident facilitating movement-based performance processes in a supportive and uplifting environment.

- Availability throughout the 2027 program period
Successful applicants will be paid for teaching hours, technical and dress rehearsals, and additional approved calls as required.
